| Dear Xanga, This summer has been great! At the very start, I was going through a rough time and very sad, but now I am having a blast! First, I went to Vancouver, Canada with my sisters and dad. I was excited because I had not been there in years! It was fun! We're not really tourists anymore, so it was relaxing! Our hotel, Rosies, was a block away from shopping! We went to Gastown, the Storeum, Robson's St., Granville Island, many Chinese malls (Aberdeen & Pacific Place), and Victoria Island. In Gastown, I saw the old clock that is run by steam. I saw the steam come out! I never noticed that after all these years I have been to Vancouver. The hotel was nice. It had a living room, kitchenette, TV and a bedroom. The living room was turned into me and Victoria's lounge pad! We rearranged all the furniture! It looked completely different afterwards! Everynight we watched The Gateux Affairs. We often cooked dinner in the hotel. On Father's Day, Victoria, Amanda, and I cooked udon for our father! It was fun! Amanda set the table with name tags, Victoria cooked the udon, and I cut all the food and shredded the seaweed! While we cooked, we blasted Korean, Japanese, & Chinese music on the stereo system in the room! FUN! (^.^) The Storeum was fun and interesting, lots of history of Canada. I didn't know they have Native Americans like the US did. The Chinese malls' food court is the best! We ate there for breakfast. There is a Japanese supermarket in there, so I had sushi for breakfast! I love! Granville Island was so fun! I love searching around for food from the delis. We had deli meats & many rich cheeses for lunch! I took TWO lactaid pills for that (-.-'). We rode a ferry to Victoria Island. We ate breakfast there! Then we lost our dad... couldn't find him for the longest time. He was sitting WAY in the back with his headphones on, watching movies on his laptop. My sisters & I listened to the Jay Chou CD we bought, which turned out to be fake (T.T). Buchart Gardens has many beautiful roses! We had afternoon tea there! It was yummy! I love dressing up for afternoon tea! The Canandian dollar was a little stronger than the US dollar, so shopping was difficult. We didn't buy as much as usual. I bought Japanese tea cups for college from the Japanese $1 store, Daiso! I love that store! I bought yarn there too. I forget if I bought clothes, don't think so. Too expensive. The food in Canada is good & diverse!
The waterfront at Victoria. Very beautiful.
I forget where this was. I think it's Vancouver. Nice view!
Stanley Park's Totem Poles. We always see them when we come to Vancouver!
Lion's Gate Bridge. There's dad and Victoria.
Grandville Island! Very fun farmer's market! The freshest and best tasting!
View from the ferry deck when leaving Victoria.
Fairmont Empress Hotel. It's beautiful! But I don't know why Victoria is sad, haha, jk.
Buchart Gardens' Italian garden. Or maybe it was Roman.
Pretty roses in the garden.
Hope you enjoyed just as much as I enjoyed my trip! Love, Elizabeth

| Dear Xanga,
I'm in a situation that's great, but at times it's horrible. I'm
confused, I don't know what to do. Big decisions are too hard to
make. When you're less than perfect, life sucks alot of the
time. If I was perfect, then life would be perfect. I don't
know what the good things are in life that I can turn to to make me
feel better. I wish I wouldn't have to deal with any of
this crap, any of it. Either things are no good, or I'm no
good. Maybe both. I hate this. I wish it'd end.
The End.
love, elizabeth

| Dear xanga, My boyfriend is a good one. To my boyfriend: Don't take offense, I'm just venting. Sometimes it's hard for me to tell whether he really cares about me or not. One minute it seems like he does, but later it'll seem like he doesn't, like I'm nobody. Or maybe it's just me. Sometimes I wish he had more time for me, even if it means just talking on the phone with me a little bit more since he lives too far away to drive to come see me. Does he have to care when I cry? Is he supposed to stay with me until I've stopped crying? Not always, right? Maybe it's not his fault. It's not his fault, he's a great boyfriend. It's just me. It's my own fault. I don't have a life of my own and he does, so he needs to tend to that while I sit at home and do nothing. I gotta find some friends of my own to keep me busy. I hate this. When life seems to be getting better, it gets bad all over again. love, elizabeth | | |
| It's weird. I thought I had close friends, but they really aren't as good as friends as I thought they were. Doesn't matter how long we've known each other. Good friends don't exclude you. They don't forget about you. But people can be mean. I was stupid to consider them my "good, close friends". I'll be more careful next time. After looking into it, I don't really have many friends at all. Stupid Liz, you're such a loser. What's wrong with you? Note To Self: Don't always trust your friends. | | |
